The bee hive embedded into the wall is my favorite detail. The cute insect glyphs pictured around it add an intriguing mystery to the scene, and imply to my mind a kind of enshrinement of the hive.

I'm drunk now and I think I was drunk when I wrote that. I like your work. It's not as bland as most of the work by Canadians, including my own, on deviantArt.

Thanks, I think.
Since when do Canadians have bland work!??!

It just seems that way on deviantART. Maybe I'm just too familiar (overexposure) with Canadian art and it seems bland or maybe I've seen too much art that comes from Italy that excites me. It could also be some sort of self-loathing. Perhaps I just don't like anything that's associated with me. Also, I may have been a tad inebriated when wrote that Canadians have bland art. Either way I'm full of it so it's best to heed to no attention. I'm just a blithering idiot.

Well from the looks of it you have an endless supply of booze your not sharing with me. Where abouts are you in Canada?
I spend the majority of my time looking at art online and I have seen many Canadian artists with interesting and inspiring work. The first few that come to mind are [link] , [link] & [link]
I have seen some pretty bland artwork by Canadians, but it's the same ratio as it is to anywheres else. For me I don't feel the country I live in as has much effect on the art I create. Though it should.

I live in a small village called McDonald's Corners. It's about an hour and a half from Ottawa. There's no youthful art scene out here even though I'm not so youthful anymore. I don't think I talk to anybody under fifty around here. Actually I talked to my psychiatrist yesterday and she's in her mid-forties. Everybody thinks I have Asperger's syndrome and I've come to believe it myself. I'm thirty-one years old. Thanks for the links!

Ahh too bad. I only moved to Calgary Alberta not too long ago. And maybe I suck at socializing but I haven't made friends or found any youthful art scenes here either.
Last time I checked Asperger's syndrome has a lot of the same traits as introverts. It's not so bad if you've learned how to live with it your own way.
